Light
Stand facing a window in daylight. Avoid light from above or from one side, which leaves shadows on the face.
Background
Stand 50 cm in front of a plain light wall. The tool replaces the background, and a plain wall gives the cleanest edges.
Distance
Ask someone to hold the phone at eye level about 1.5 m away. Selfies at arm's length distort the face.
Pose
Look straight at the camera with a neutral expression, mouth closed and eyes open. Keep hair away from your face.
Clothing
Avoid clothing in the same colour as the required background.
